Is Hooked on Phonics a better program than Scholastics Phonics Reading Program?
This is for a child age 7 who is reading below grade level and will be retained in first grade.
To be honest, I've only heard good things about Hooked on Phonics, and I haven't ever heard of Scholastic Phonics Reading Program before. And I think that says something. Here's a really interesting consumer review website with some really helpful thoughts about Hooked on Phonics. Good luck!
