Proud Grandparent Child

How far along, until you tell family you are pregnant?

With my first child, 7 years ago, we told everyone we were pregnant at 6 weeks (once we "officially" found out).

It was a LONG time until the end the pregnancy, and I was getting annoyed by the cutsie talk, constant calls to see how I was, etc.

We were going to tell our son at 3 months, and right after that, my son would tell the grandparents. So he could be proud of being a big brother.

But, my husband wants me to tell everyone once I have my first doctors appointment, on the 14th.

annoyed by the love your family shared in the joy of a new child coming into this world?

im sorry, but i don't get that. your family cares about you, and wants to know that your okay. are you anti-social?

you can tell them whenever you want, but i find your reasons for wanting to wait a bit strange. be thankful you have a family that cares enough to annoy you. at least your not alone.

i have always told my family 2 seconds after the stick turned pink. bring on the cutsie talk and constant calls, at least i know they care, and they love my baby immediately. how is that so horrible?
