Phonics Math Addition

Do you know of a fun way to teach a 4 year old addition and subtraction?

I have a 4 year old daughter whom, I am homeschooling to prepare her for kindergarden. She's learning how to read and does well with phonics but it comes to math, she gets bored. Do you have an unique ideal or way to make this more interesting that you'd share with me?

M&Ms....lol This is how I motivated my daughters. Use M&Ms, candy, toys, animals, etc. in addition and subtraction problems.

For children, subjects are difficult when they cannot visualize it, so use things familiar to her, and help her visualize the concepts.

For example, you have 3 M&Ms and mommy gives you 4 more. How many M&Ms do you have now?
