For instance, to enter the realm of forensic accounting, accountants can become Certified Fraud Examiners or Certified Financial Forensic Accountants by passing certain examinations or by joining certain professional associations.

Forensic accountants investigate money laundering, criminal transactions, contract disputes, bankruptcies and white-collar crime. Work opportunities in this field are endless, but they each can be obtained with an online accounting degree.
