How do I buy teacher restricted books for home schooled children?

My children are home schooled & since I am not good at some of the subjects, I tried calling the publishers to get Teacher guides, etc. They would not sell to me because I am not a teacher. I tried looking on line ( used books) & I did not see the books I need.

Can someone please help me?

If you're not good at the subjects, what makes you think you can teach them, even WITH the solutions manual? Maybe you should consider sending the kids to public school, at least for a few classes that you're not qualified to teach.
